: York Older People's Assembly (YOPA) members are all over 50 and member organisations represent the main groups working with older people in York. YOPA's aims are:- to raise awareness of policy issues affecting the lives of older people,
- to ensure there is adequate representation on the boards of the Council, the Hospital Trust and the Primary Care Trust through the YOPA Champions,
- to sit on policy-making committees, and
- to speak out in the press and media on local and national issues of concern to older people.
